The Loving Heart
Have you seen a loving mother
how she holds her babe with care?

How she bandages the wounded knee
and offers up a prayer?

Can you hear her gently singing
as she rocks him on her lap?

The helpless soul has not a care
as he takes a quiet nap

Have you heard about a wondrous God
more loving than a mom?

Who provides us all our sustenance
from dawn to setting sun

And if I ever wonder
where God's love is on this earth

I'm reminded of the loving heart
of the one who gave me birth
