I forgot that pretending to be happy
Doesn't make you happy ...
And that pretending to be smart
Doesn't make you smart ...
I forgot that you can't just forget the past
In fear of the future ...


I forgot that you can't control
Falling in love ..
And if you really do fall in love,
Then you can't make yourself fall

OUT of love ..
I learned that I can love ....

I learned that it's okay to mess up ..
And it's okay to ask for help .
And it's okay to feel like hell .
I learned it's okay to complain and whine
To all your friends for a whole day ...


I've learnt that sometimes the things
You want most,
You just can't have.
I've learnt that the greatest thing
About life isn't the parties or the hook-ups ...

Why did you broke my heart into two,
without caring about me and listening me too.

Why did not you try to understand my feelings, my love,
just left me dumb with thousands of unsaid words.

I feel so incomplete as you are not beside me,

Just like the body without soul,
Just like the night without stars and moon.,

You had promised but did not come
For ages I waited by the door

You stopped enjoying the rain of love
But I never could stop the downpour

From my own desires estranged I stand
Yearning for that loving hand

Twig by twig we had woven our love nest
Callously you walked away without any regret

Your indifference has destroyed that world
Where petals of love had taken a lifetime to unfurl....

My First Love

In my own idiotic stupidness
In my overflowing ego
I rebuked her in a cafe
The love of my life, I rebuked her
I rebuked the only one who cared for me
I, in my false pretense of attitude
Looked the other way for some while
No response from her irritated me
I glimpsed again at her angrily
Her head held down by million thoughts
A droplet had accumulated in her eyelid
The droplet swelled into a drop
And when it could no longer contain itself
The tear flowed from my beloveds eyes
It rolled down her cheek
My heart seized and nearly missed a beat
I made her frown, I made her cry
My false ego crashed without a sigh
A pain in my chest I could not deny
Regret loaded my mind with lead
She looked at me with angry eyes
Sweet anger turned into angry smile
Soon a gale of laughter filled the place
She blamed me yet she embraced!

Can I Love You?

I gave my heart to you
I set my standards high
I laid my eyes on you,
I laughed and cried with you,
I told you my hopes and dreams,
My Love and Fears.

My tears I shed all over your shoulder.
In the end,
I came to see that you were
the only guy I could ever trust.
When I see you,
my face lights up with aspiration, and happiness.
When we talk, I can feel the load unload
with soothing words from you.

I have the feeling of love in my heart.
In my mind, I say "You don't mean a thing. "
In my words, I say "You are just a friend. "
But in the deep end of my heart,
I think of only you

When I tell you my expectations of a guy,
You tell me never to fall short of what I want.
But only one thing stands in the way -

You said together we'd always be

You promised you would hold me

But you never kept your promise

You said let's take a break
You said let's just be friends
But please for my sake
Just say the truth, cause it's the end

You promised every day
That you would be there
You molded my heart like clay
Into the shape of a broken chair

You said to me
I was all you could think of

But, now, your walking away
Saying "let's just be friends"
Now, you made my heart break
That's your way of saying it's the end


Why did you make a promise you couldn't keep

Why did you make a promise that was so cheap
why did you make a promise to this broken hearted fool

Please don't mourn for me
I'm still here, though you don't see.
I'm right by your side each night and day
within your heart I long to stay.

My body is gone but I'm always near
I'm everything you feel and see and hear
My spirit is free, but I'll never depart
as long as you keep me alive in your heart.

and the pure white snow that blankets the ground.

Lost Love!

What I have dreamed
Has not come true
My dream was to be
Just with you

What I have thought
From the last few days
I went for the good
But found it wrong ways

You broke our friendship
Quiet I stay
Today you let it go our love
What am I post to say?

When you took my hands into yours
And said to let you go
Tears came to my eyes
But I did not let it show

I was shocked
And a little mad to
But I did not ask
The word “Why” to you

I took my hands away from yours
And slowly said you’re free
Then ran away
After counting one, two, three

Love was over for me
And so was life
Well I lay on my bed every night
All I did was cry

There were so many questions
In my mind

After few months I decided to forget you
But still you are in my heart
Locked in side
